I have been employed as a contractor in the Human Resources Department of the Environmental Protection Agency since 2001, working on a wide variety of projects. I started as an Administrative Assistant, then was promoted to Systems Engineer I. My strength is in creating user friendly, time saving and streamlined ways to enter, manage and produce data on a variety of platforms, attention to detail, quick learning and turnaround, and support for my coworkers.

I am an expert on Microsoft Office including MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, creating documents, reports, tables, complex formula spreadsheets, presentations, mail merge, printables, and whatever else is requested of me, and I handled sensitive personnel and payroll information with complete confidentiality. I’m also proficient with Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, PeopleSoft, Lotus Notes, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and SharePoint.

Highlights:

After the department network was moved to SharePoint, I developed the main SharePoint file access pages, developed a method for syncing individual employees for user friendly direct access and wrote the instructions manual for other departments, as well as handled individual training and support as needed.

After Lotus Notes was phased out, I was responsible for choosing MS Access as the next platform, recreating all the existing databases and functions, as well as created the system for database sharing and joint editing.

On Excel I use and create all sorts of formulas, including complex ones that, for example, calculate earliest retirement eligibility dates in reference to the current day. A Pay Period calendar I created for my department was so well liked, it was placed on the national intranet for use by the entire EPA.

With PowerPoint I create various presentations for seminars and training, clear to understand, neat and easy on the eyes.

I created, modified, and maintained various Lotus Notes databases, many of which had complex options on each form, including automatic emails with self-populating or selectable employee names, pop-up fields and automatic archiving.
