My responsibilities were to learn how construction was performed at the largest sites with large budgets. The goal was to advance through several opportunities the company promoted.
I was going to school at night for my degree and one day per week was a company mandated apprenticeship program for all young employees in the Carpentry and construction framing program.
I worked closely with several different Foremen on various parts of a 6-star hotel in the Sydney downtown area.
We learned to use leveling instruments.
Worked closely with all levels of Engineering consultants.
This was where I learned how to read blueprints.
We were being groomed to become the next generation of managers for the Company.
Many great opportunities to advance within the company which was highly encouraged.
I gained 2 degrees whilst working with Lend Lease Corp.
