President & Chief Execu+ve Officer of Chemol Company] (1996 – 2010) The Seydel Companies and subsidiaries manufactured, distributed, sold and licensed textile chemicals for the worldwide textile industry. Seydel was the leading producer of textile weaving and other chemicals and coatings in the United States from 1986 to 2010. At its peak, Seydel had 150 employees and $60 million in sales. Customers included Cone Mills, Greenwood Mills, Avondale Mills, Dan River Mills, Springs Mills, and other major producers of denim, towels, sheets and woven goods.
Scope of Responsibilities: Oversaw all aspects of financial, operations, manufacturing, IT and human resources activities. In 1996, Seydel acquired Chemol Company (it’s supplier of waxes, lubricants, and coatings in Greensboro NC). Mr. Rose was appointed CEO and ran all operations of this facility. During this period Chemol was able to diversify to products outside the textile industry such as corrugated box coatings, and specialty chemicals for aluminum, cosmetics, and other industries.

• Pharmaceutical Manufacturer – Assisted the Company in Due Diligence. The engagement included preparing comparative financial statements and projections used as an essential basis for negotiations. Also, partnered with the owner in discussions with European buyer and the due diligence team.
• Importer and Distributor of Carbon Steel Pipes and Valves - The engagement involved preparing comparative historical statements and projections for expansion of an existing loan. Company was successful in receiving the loan approval of a new asset-based loan. While the company is very successful, it maintained a very long lead time on the industrial products imported from China, India and Korea resulting in variable cash flow.
• Asphalt Supplier and Specialty Chemical Company – Recommended by regional bank interested in offering a loan for the expansion of the working capital. The engagement included meeting with owners of the closely held company who had recently experienced rapid growth in revenues and profitability. The issues included changes in top level management, and cash flow management. Served as coach and mentor to CEO and top management in their new roles Organized and help present financial story to new and existing lenders in road show. Facilitated in securing a new working capital loan for $20 million after receiving competitive offers. Reworked existing long-term debt to realize lower borrowing costs and reduced amortization, thus improving cash flow. Guided management in the selection the new CPA firm.
