As a DBA install Oracle 8i database for Data Warehouse on Sun Solaris 2.6 server, setup database to accommodate 20 gigs of data spread in 200 tables, setup Brio reporting tool, developed backup and recovery procedures using RMAN, created distributed environment using snapshots and refresh groups to transfer data from main orderzone.com database server. Also, involved in design and development phase of Item migration process developed using PL/SQL stored procedures and packages. Provided support to programming team and other junior DBA’s.

Feb 2000 to June 2000

As an Oracle DBA, worked with AON Risk Technologies located in Chicago. As a DBA responsible to build 20 Oracle 7.3.4 database servers on HP-9000 with data replication option to implement their Branch Sales Management system. Branch Sales management system consist of several modules like of Sales Prospecting, sales Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and various reports. All Oracle servers were set to replicate their daily transactions using snapshots, snapshot logs, and refresh groups to one Master Oracle 8i database server located in the AON corporate office.

Responsible to monitor 20 branch oracle servers each of 10 GB size and approximately 15 users and one master database server of 120 GB size. Worked as an Oracle 8i DBA with Baxter to setup Oracle 8i database for QMS (Quality Management System) system. Quality Management system maintains complaint incidents received from client located across the world, as per FDA guideline.
