Led all work streams in the creation of the 2020-2025 USDA/HHS Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA), including the new age category (Birth-24 months) impacting global, market leading brand (Enfamil infant formula product line).

Key point person directing and advising desired outcomes for Infant Nutrition Council of America (INCA: Mead Johnson Nutrition, Abbott, Perrigo and Nestle), introduced scientific data for review and analysis on the use of infant formula, and prepared testimony for Committee hearings. Data was used in the creation of the DGA’s 168-page report, providing visibility and trust for the industry with opportunities for future involvement in dietary guidelines and publications.

Influenced USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue to approve our recommendation for DGA Advisory Committee of Ron Kleinman, MD, Chief of Dept. of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital to serve as DGA Vice Chair for 2020-2025. The appointment was recognized as a significant win and demonstrated the level of trust placed in our recommendations.

Spearheaded negotiations to replace ineffective industry association management firm, netting change in Executive leadership and key staff, while redefining organization’s mission and purpose at state and federal legislative efforts.
