Human Resources Director – DePoe Eye Center, Stockbridge, Georgia

In this postion, my basic duties included the recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of new hires through the use of Indeed, Weave and ADP; conflict management between employees or an employee and management; timecard and schedule tracking; creation and implementation of a standard training program for employee development; and coordination of employee reviews and evaluations. I am happy working in this postion, but I would like to get back into the intelligence and/or training field.

January 2019 – January 2020

Human Resources Director – Southern Siding Company (now Southern Exteriors), Jackson, Georgia

I managed the employee records and employee support programs. I entered all the pay records, managed paid time off requests, coordinated vacation schedules, reviewed company health insurance program needs and coordinated with our 401(k)-program director to maximize employee satisfaction. I also tracked vehicle insurance for 23 company owned vehicles, worked with 30+ subcontractors to ensure all state insurance requirements were met, and digitized all personnel records for 42 employees. I advertised open positions on Indeed then interviewed and onboarded new hires as needed. I was laid off when my position was eliminated due to management restructuring.

August 1998 – March 2013

Teacher/Coach – Peoples Baptist Church Ministries, McDonough, Georgia

I taught various high classes, but my primary focus was history (US and world), economics, geography and speech. I utilized our curriculum but also used material from various US Department of State and Central Intelligence Agency open-source websites to enhance my teaching and broaden the experience for my students. By leveraging my travel and experiences in the Navy Reserve, I was able to introduce my students to travel safety, and respect for different cultures, government systems and economies. I also planned and executed five class trips involving extensive travel planning including flights and ground transportation. One trip was international to the United Kingdom. I left Peoples to take military orders in the United Kingdom.

Senior Enlisted Leader and Intelligence Specialist – US Navy, Senior Chief Petty Officer

APR 2023 – SEP 2024 (Naval Station Mayport, FL): Working with the Innovation and Technology N9 Directorate at USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT to development policy, planning and data management for unmanned robotic systems to be utilized by the US Navy in the future. I created PowerPoint presentations and management plans to aid in the development of policy for future unmanned operations. Served as a USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT Watch Officer where I oversaw a team of intelligence specialists who monitored events of interest to US assets and our partner nations active in the region. I reviewed the reports and disseminated them to the greater US intelligence community.

OCT 2022 – MAY 2023 (Naval Air Station Fort Worth, TX): Worked with the Commander, Naval Information Forces Reserve Operational Planning Team in developing various courses of action and implementation plans for the creating of self-standing, independent US Navy Intelligence Reserve commands independent of the traditional Navy Reserve construct. I dealt mainly with supply/logistics infrastructure, career management and Navy Reserve Center support (identification cards and personnel issues, pay issues, orders issues, etc.). I regularly briefed my team leaders and our commander, a Navy Reserve admiral.

JAN 2019 – SEP 2022 (Gillem Enclave, GA): Served as a Reserve Unit Senior Enlisted Leader & Southeastern Joint Reserve Intelligence Center Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge. I handled personnel management and Sailor development by training my immediate subordinates in leadership and developing training plans for my junior personnel. During the initial phase of the Ukrainian-Russian Conflict, I used various intelligence collections systems to produce intelligence products for US policy-makers and regional commanders.

MAR 2018 – DEC 2018 (Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba): Served as the Joint Intelligence Directorate Senior Enlisted Leader and HUMINT (Human Intelligence) Team Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge. I oversaw all junior servicemember development while maintaining manning requirements in a constantly changing environment with a particular focus on cultural respect and adhering to intelligence collection protocols. I worked with the IT department for computer access for my team members on the various system accesses required for their products. I evaluated my personnel on their briefing skills and oversaw their briefing training program. I also managed all the service required training for the 75+ Navy personnel attached to the joint task force, which included but was not limited to such topics as: internet security, trafficking-in-persons, travel safety, risk management, and intelligence collection policies and regulations for the protection of US citizens and corporations.

JUL 2016 – FEB 2018 (Royal Air Force Base Molesworth, UK): Served as the Command Training Officer for the Joint Intelligence Operations Center, European Command, Molesworth. I coordinated with all four service component training leads and government civilian/contractor leads to manage all training requirements (military and intelligence courses) across the local enterprise to include over 650 joint service and civilian personnel to an average 92% completion rate. I developed training schedules, planned outside training events, developed a personal development training plan for junior enlisted professional development and completely overhauled the new members check-in process. I established working relationships with our local travel office, military personnel office and USAF support element. I served as the Chief Petty Officer Association Secretary where I did a complete revision of the constitution and bylaws to put them in compliance with military and government policies.

MAR 2013 – JUL 2016 (Royal Air Force Base Molesworth, UK): Served as the Navy Element Senior Enlisted Advisor and numerous Branch Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge positions for US Africa Command, Joint Intelligence Center-Molesworth. I managed our career management team to address administrative and training issues associated with pay, travel, exams, personnel command, identification cards, computer systems and basic quality of life concerns. I created our Command Duty Officer Program and acted as Program Manager. I was the Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist Program Manager for all of US Africa Command where I coordinated training and interviewing virtually with Sailors in Djibouti, Germany and Maryland as well as local Sailors.

JUN 2008 – MAR 2013 (Gillem Enclave, GA): Served in various jobs while in a drilling status with units on Fort Gillem/Gillem Enclave at the Southeastern Joint Reserve Intelligence Center. I was a country analyst, Unit Career Counselor, Unit Leading Petty Officer, Urinalysis Program Coordinator, and Branch Leading Chief Petty Officer. I produced multiple intelligence products on various European and African nations.

NOV 2007 – MAY 2008 (Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti): Served as Assist Camp Security Manager. I managed the biometrics enrollment system for the badging of host country and third country nationals who were employed in the base. I also assisted in the management of clearances for all US military and civilian personnel. I also volunteered over 100 hours to visit the local English language classes sponsored by the US Embassy in Djibouti. I sat with various young adults from across eastern Africa and learned about their culture while helping to teach them English.

MAY 2003 – NOV 2007 (Fort Gillem, GA): Served as a country analyst for Navy Europe reserve unit. I created various intelligence products from multiple sources. Many of our products were simple background information pieces produced from open sources to build a database on various nations with summaries on economics, infrastructure (utility and travel), information systems and medical capability. These products were vital to regional commanders in force distribution and setting travel requirements or restrictions.
