Knowledge of the current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and provincial income deductions

Familiar with voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities

Can lead regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger

Survey data entered by others in the payroll software to ensure accuracy of records, including:

Assisting staff with general questions related to payroll and producing quarterly and year-end payroll reports

Am always willing to work in partnership with other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems

I am highly proficient with the use of Excel and spreadsheets
