WORK HISTORY:

Respiratory Therapist at Fort Carson Army Base: Sept 11th 2024 - Present An Urgent Care level hospital run by DHA. Predominantly patient comfort and setting up basic equipment for patients. BiPaP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Ventilators, for patients who qualify for varying levels of care. There is a low level NICU where we care for newborns who need our services. Mostly using CPAP, suction, and High Flow Nasal Cannula. Respiratory Therapist at St. Thomas Moore Hospital: Sept 16th 2024 - Present It’s a Critical access hospital in Canon city that mostly sees it’s geriatric population and inmates from the surrounding correctional facilities and prisons. Mostly care for COPD, CHF, and Asthma exacerbations but every now and again there is a drug overdose that requires intubation for airway protection.

Respiratory Therapist Christus Santa Rosa At Westover Hills Feb26th to July 17th 2024 This is a Trauma 3 hospital with approximately 260 beds where they mostly work with cardiac surgery and hold over until the patients can be transferred for higher levels of care. They provide PFT's, nebulizer treatments, NO therapy, bronchoscopies, BiPAP/CPAP using the V60(soon to be upgraded to a new machine), PB980 ventilator for both their NICU and adults, HFNC through Aervo. This hospital has a level 2 NICU where I have been trained. Respiratory Therapist Metropolitan Methodist Hospital - San Antonio, TX April 2023 to Feb2024 Predominately performing nebulizer treatments, vent checks, transports using a parapac pneumatic ventilator, intubation assist, extubation, high flow nasal cannula, EZPAP, IS, Acapella, manual CPT, adding respiratory orders to patients' EMR, working closely with Nurses and Providers to ensure better outcomes for the patients, educating nurses, providers, and patients regarding respiratory devices and their functions, the use of nitric oxide therapy in cardiac patients and neonates.

Cardiopulmonary Technician U.S. Air Force- San Antonio, TX March 2019 to July 2023 Senior Airman in the USAF where I lead the Fitness Improvement Program for the Squadron. I am the treasurer of the 959 Booster club for morale activities for the Squadron, the squadron voting representative, as well as working standard Panama shift 14 days a month 12-hour shifts. I have been deployed to perform FEMA missions where I provided relief to Hospital RTs across the US and was coined by the FEMA director for our efforts. I have been working at Brooke Army Medical Center since April of 2020 where I have become proficient in all floor therapies, servo I, Draeger, PB, parapac, Zoll ventilators. Vapotherm high flows, v60, v30,trilogy, cough assist therapies/devices. Their indications and contraindications, and how they help the patient. I am proficient enough to train individuals on these devices. I am confident with Nitric, heliox, velletri specialty gasses. I have trained new RTs, Army Flight medics, Doctors and nurses in the use of these devices and therapies. I have done bronchoscopies, ABGs, endoscopy assist, HLD cleaning of dirty bronchs, intubation assist and extubations, am comfortable with extubation parameters and process, trach care, ET tube care and skin break down prevention, ventilatory management, individual modes of ventilators.

Good Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic- Corvallis, OR. Certified Medical Assistant November 2017 to March 2019 I worked as a CMA until I joined the Military in March of 2019. I worked as a contract medical assistant then transferred to full time employment. I assisted the clinic as a CMA doing blood draws, patient care, vitals, patient histories, prescription refill, patient calls, immunizations, injections, referrals, prescription refills, authorizations, ordering procedures, and procedure preparations. MILITARY SERVICE Senior Airman United States Air Force March 2018 to July 2023 I am trained in the use of Nitric Oxide therapy, am a certified trainer for the RT department, was top of my class in my phase 1 of training, can perform CPR and assist as needed, am knowledgeable in a large majority of the equipment used in respiratory including Oscillator and Jet ventilator.
