Assisted the government customer with the preparation and assembling of packages of written products. Created talking points, Intelligence Community (IC) posture papers, and memos in preparation for meetings that take place at the most senior levels. Maintains situational awareness of a variety of Near East Area of Responsibility (AOR) issues. Responsibilities included managing a portfolio that included seven countries, and publishing a weekly update regarding those countries. Senior advisor responsible for coordinating the activities of the National Intelligence Collection Board (NICB) to ensure that intelligence collection gaps are covered and that there is no duplication of effort in answering duplicate questions across the various government agencies and offices, and the various intelligence disciplines. Responsible for coordinating the activities of all the Intelligence Community (IC) members as those members’ efforts pertain to collection efforts and deconfliction thereof. Supports the development and implementation of multi-discipline intelligence strategies. Also works closely to ensure that the NICB is working in close coordination with the National Intelligence Analysis Board (NIAB), so that these two executive organizations are maximizing the capabilities of the IC in collecting and analyzing the most important information in support of policy makers and warfighters. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), ran Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) in support of developing ABI tradecraft. Provided analytical insights to assist Geospatial Analysts and Imagery Analysts in the conduct of their missions, and advised senior leadership on relevant technical, tradecraft, and policy issues. As part of ABI, conducted pattern of life analysis to form models and predict behavior. Translated strategic community mission and execution objectives and policies into concrete objectives, plans, and priorities for implementation by automation program managers, collection mission managers, and evaluation of OSINT outputs by analytic mission leaders. Ensured an IC-wide perspective of OSINT collection requirements was applied to recommendations for resource allocation to improve OSINT collection and analysis support capabilities. Represented the ODNI across the Congressional and Executive branches of the Federal government, the IC, and to state, local, and tribal interests regarding OSINT collection requirements. Ensured that all OSINT activities were optimally integrated into core IC collection and analysis processes. Served as executive editor and release authority for all written products sent to the JIEDDO COIC and the JIEDDO J2. Served as the sole point of contact and interface to the government for matters associated with the production and relevance of open source products delivered in support of counter-IED (CIED) operations. Was primarily responsible for efficient and effective open source research, analysis, and reporting of information related to various agencies, and the operation and integration of war gaming in support of counter IED operations. Served as the representative to Yemen for the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Army Chief of Staff, the Combatant Commanders, the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, foreign nations, and other organizations in Yemen. Observed and reported defense, security, and political-military intelligence pertaining to Yemen and the region in accordance with national requirements. Advised the U.S. Ambassador on defense-related matters and served as a member of the Country Team in Yemen. Was responsible for the day-to-day functioning and budget of a Defense Attaché Office composed of four military staff members. Managed overt and special intelligence collection efforts in Yemen. Was responsible for coordinating all military activities between the Armed Forces of the U.S. and Yemen. Worked directly with and provided support to Special Operations Command-Yemen (SOC-Yemen) and Special Operations Command-Horn of Africa (SOC-HOA).
