I do work in a college setting under student services, I have been also privilege to be able to help direct students navigate their way towards introductory to their first year with Coastal Bend College. Being here at the library/learning resource center and working under student services has given me this opportunity to help students and assist them in any need possible. Also I am planning to pursue my Masters of Adult Higher Education starting in Fall 2025. Scheduling and managing appointments my core responsibility was to set up meetings or calls with potential customers. This involved coordinating schedules for sales teams and optimizing their calendars. Answering phones and handling incoming calls related to scheduling and inquiries is part of my daily tasks. Qualifying leads, I assessed potential clients to determine their suitability and interest in the company's offerings. This involved gathering information such as budget, timeline, and decision-making authority. Contacting prospective clients, I engaged with potential clients through various channels like phone calls, emails, and social media. Maintaining records, I kept accurate records of all interactions, often using CRM systems, to track communications and progress. Facilitating meetings, after qualifying leads, I arranged direct interactions between prospects and sales representatives. Followed up, I sent reminders and follow-up communications to minimize no shows and maintain professional relationships. Provided information, I may have had to articulate product or service benefits and features to potential clients. Pan Atlantic Foundation-Area Representative- (Independent Contractor/Part-Time) (Remote)

My role as an independent contractor I focused on facilitating international high school exchange programs. I primarily worked with host families to connect them with international students. As an area representative I was able to mentor and support students throughout their exchange experience, fostering cultural understanding within the local community. I also actively seek and recruited local families who were willing to host international students. I conducted in home interviews and check references for potential host families, and ensured they met program requirements and regulations. I provided orientation to host families before the student arrives, preparing them for the exchange experience. Serves as a liaison with instructors to ensure coordination of library assignments and for accurate reserve collections and usage statistics. Assists with Technical support of the operation of the library's automated system including troubleshooting and software upgrades. Answers patron queries in person, chat, and on the phone, including placing requests and renewal of materials. Checks in and out library materials and relays fines and fees for all overdue and lost materials to the Business Office. Supervises and manages circulation desk operations, delegating duties to part-time staff Greets, assists and refers patrons according to their needs.
Helps maintain library website. Maintains circulation records and runs statistical and annual reports as required by the library director. Performs registration of new and returning patrons and inputs patron information. Conducts daily collection of books drop materials. Shelves and straighten books and other circulating materials as necessary.
Implements, supports and enforces all library policies and procedures. Interprets library policies and procedures for patrons. Keeps library director informed of potential student and staffing problems or concerns. Makes recommendations for improvements in services and collections. Also with other duties implemented I am able help students navigate through their student Blackboard account as well as showing them how to get to certain classes, answer any questions about library resources, research help and other learning resources that we do offer at Coastal Bend College. Enhances daily customer service for all students, faculty, staff and community.
