Dedicated high school teacher with 33 years of experience in the classroom and a strong desire to help educate future teachers. It is my belief that a strong public school system will help our democracy grow stronger and that the only way that will happen is with strong school teachers. I strongly believe that a teacher has to sell education to young people and the only way to accomplish that is to believe in your heart that education makes a difference, which I do.

Financial Literacy Teacher Northside I.S.D.- O'Connor High School, Helotes, TX. Aug 2000 - June 2024
Developed curriculum for campus and other teachers for the program.
Started with one class per semester in 2019 and ended with four per semester in 2023.
Started a Financial Literacy Club on campus that grew to 10 students and every month we would have a guest speaker from the financial industry.
Had guest speakers come to the classroom from areas in the financial sector.
Advocated for teachers and their financial literacy on campus Economics Teacher Northside I.S.D.- O'Connor High School, Helotes, TX. Aug 2000 - June 2024
PLC Economics Lead Teacher 2018-2023.
On the advisory board of MRU (Marginal Revolution University). This board is dedicated to making economics relevant to high school students.
Had #1 team in the SMG (stock market game) in 2023. There were over 600 teams in the competition.

Special Education Teaching Certificate (Texas Education Agency-Region 20 through UTSA) June 1991 This is a lifetime certificate with allows me to teach Special Education coursework. Principal Certificate (University of Texas at San Antonio) June 1999 This certificate allowed me to become a school administrator in the state of Texas. I would have to bring this certificate up to date.
