I worked at a lot of places, like the rodeo and the Moody Center. At the rodeo, I would direct people where to go and keep traffic moving.

At the Moody Center, I would set up the whole parking lot by myself. Which consisted of putting up cones and signs to communicate to people where to find a parking garage or where to exit.

I would direct people where to drop-off people and where to exit and any other information they asked for.

Then when we did egress, I would direct my cars to stop or when to go, to have an easy flow of traffic.

Custodian

Very first thing, I get the recycle from all the workers in the cubicles. I dump that, then get their trash. While collecting the bags, I’ll change the liners.

Then I’ll clean all the restrooms every day. Which included, wiping down the sink with a disinfectant. Cleaning the toilet and the urinals with a disinfectant and a toilet bowl cleaner. Then wiping down the mirrors with a glass cleaner. Restocking toilet paper and if needed the paper towel dispensers.

I’ll wipe down the countertops and sinks between the restrooms.

After that, I go to the lobby to clean the windows.

Then I spray down the tables of the breakroom and the countertops with a disinfectant, and the pop machines with a glass cleaner.

I then take out the recycle and the trash from the breakroom and by the office restrooms. I start to collect all the trash bags and replace them.

Once all those are done, I will go into the restrooms. Replacing the trash bags with all the paper towels with a new one trash bag. Then dump that.

Around three o’clock, I will go back and check the toilet rolls. If any need replacing.

On Fridays, I’d stay late to vacuum the whole office area, lobby, conference room. Also, I’d mop the restrooms

Kennel Assistant

Gardner Animal Hospital - Gardner, KS

I would feed the dogs and/or cats breakfast. Depending on the day, that could be the adopted animals or the shelter animals.

We would let them out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Refill their water and clean their cages every time they went out, but also anytime they made a mess.

At the end of the night, I would check off all the animals that they ate and took their meds.

When they went out, we would have to scoop up their poop.

I would do the dishes, mop, laundry, and cleans the litter bins.

Warehouse Associate

When I originally got hired, I was working in the outbound area where scan boxes and put them into carts. I would often get asked to work on the docks where I would be building walls of boxes in a fashionable time. They just recently put me on the order picker, as my request, to put away the boxes in somewhat of a cubby.

Consolidator and Packer

As a consolidator, I worked very quickly and efficiently to get the totes out as quick as possible. I would have to scan the barcodes of the totes very quickly, grab them, and then scan to the line, and sometimes would have to put them on the line.

As a packer, I would get totes on my line, scan them, check how many items are in them and scan all the products, then put them in a box, tape it up and send it on its way.
