PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1 RCT II for Los Alamos National Laboratory, November 2022 to Present. As an RCT II for LANL I’ve had the opportunity to work in several unique, high contamination and high dose situations. I’ve responded to alarms for Continuous Air Monitors, Personnel Contamination Monitors and other types of radiological alarms. I’ve also gained valuable experience responding to personnel contamination situations which require decontamination of the individual involved, the Personnel Protective Equipment they are wearing and, sometimes the individual themselves. These events also require a detailed survey of the work area to be performed and written correctly for LANL files. I have also learned to do performance checks and how to use contamination probes like the Ludlum 43-93 with a Radeye SX as well as dose rate instruments like the RO 20 and E600 used with a SNRD to measure neutron dose rates. I am quite adept at giving RWP briefs and providing coverage to keep workers safe during the jobs I brief and cover. In short, after 4 months of intensive training at Shelly Adult Training Academy followed by 18 months working full time with high hazard and high alpha situations at LANL, I am definitely qualified for the position you have open and I look forward to working with you. 2
