Senior Staff Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer (Electron Beam Inspection, Thin-Film measurement, and Surface scan divisions).
Design, manufacturing, and testing included:
-8-axis Optical Inspection Tool of 150 mm Lenses for internal use. One axis was a Close-loop control frameless motor for optical inspection of lens 150mm diameter (up to 60 rpm) which used angular contact ball bearings ABEC 9, another three axes were piezo-electric XYZ stage (Nanomotors) and the rest were commercial available linear and rotary stages.
-Beam-expanding laser beam attenuator with automatic astigmatism correction mechanism, motorized beam expander and half wave plate attenuator.
-Piezo-driven closed-loop stage for 0.7 mm vertical travel combined with one
degree of freedom flexure in high vacuum chamber.
-Perform Stress and Thermal analysis using finite element technique (PRO-Mechanica).
-Design and supervising fabrication of XYTZ stage with Linear Interferometer feedback for wafer inspection.
-XY lightweight diamond cut Aluminum interferometer mirror for XY stage.
-Electro-static chuck for 200- and 300-mm wafer.
-Opto-mechanical design of variable angle broad band spectral ellipsometer.
-Fixtures for testing reliability and life expectancy of rotating flat cables and various positioning components.

The company developed and manufactured Piezo-electric large format ink-jet heads and printers.
Developed, designed, and tested the following:
-Semi-automatic machines incorporated automatic loading/unloading robot and Vision system, special tooling for this process, replacing manual assembly and reducing operation time by 50%.
-Backside grinding process for a laminated part (glass, PZT and ceramic) and multi-parts clamping fixtures (flexure type) enabling the production of five parts at a time instead of one. Result: yield increased from 50 to 95%.
-Optical Measuring Inspection Station (0.5µm accuracy) that reduced the number of operators from four to two and eliminated manual inspection.
-Ultra-sonic washing fixtures, thus eliminating manual cleaning and handling.

-Design of Tribometer for Disc Drive industry to inspect behavior of different coatings under flying reading head in start/stop mode, Park and Fly Stiction test.
-Proposed, developed, designed, and manufactured a Universal Tribology Tester that allows applying variable loads, speed, lubricants and temperature conditions for measuring wear and friction.
