Collaboration and Oversight: Work closely with the program manager in the facilities

department to ensure seamless integration of IT systems in the new facilities.

Infrastructure Management: Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure setup, including

Led the IS Facilities Program Project Portfolio for office relocations and builds for 8 moves. Four of the 8 moves were already in-flight and running the risk of not meeting the timelines. I initiated the other moves through closure.

The project budget for the moves ranged from 2 – 8 million and planned move for 400 – approximately 1700 users.

Responsible for the implementation, coordinating and managing the implementation of the Network, and Telecom, and AV requirements in Canada and in the U.S.

Align IS and Facility schedules. Working with vendors for the procurement and installation of MPLS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi survey etc. for new locations.

Vendor management and procurement of equipment and required services.

Prioritize among many conflicting situations or needs, advocate course of action to successful completion.

All moves in the US and Canada were completed successfully and by the target move date. Circuit installations for some of the moves had to expedited with the vendors to meet the timelines due to the lead time required for the order. There were a few minor access and printing issues that were quickly resolved by the helpdesk and onsite technical support teams.

Managed several projects within the PMO from initiation to closure during this period utilizing OPS Project Management Framework and Methodology to achieve the desired infrastructure solution. Provide client facing Project Management Services to cluster and ministry clients through the ITS Project Management Office (PMO). Day-to-day project management involved:

Project planning, including blueprint development and solutions acceptance process facilitation.

Asset and Configuration management of servers and applications. Managed Server refresh and backup of Clarity folders, database, and customizations for various Ministry clusters within the OPS.

Developed the Complex Moves strategy/program and developed move templates for OPS and personally managed several ITS service areas with relocating staff for approximately 15 government cluster offices during the 2-year period. This involved working closely with cross-functional ITS Telecoms (Telco) and Services Management groups, building contractors as well as with vendors (TELUS/Bell) to determine the necessary cabling requirements for the Network, Telco and Audio-Visual equipment.
