Director-Literacy (2024-Present)

Launch comprehensive literacy initiatives to improve student achievement and foster a culture of reading excellence. Director-Research and Grants (2021 – 2023)

Served as the liaison between Procurement and Kids Hope Alliance to initiate contracts, grants, and Request for Proposals. Maintained substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principals and theories as well as coordinated and measured the outcomes of a programming portfolio of over $20+M. Analyzed Opportunity Index to identify trends and changing current issues to include, but not limited to demographics, youth services, community feedback, and partnership opportunities. Planned, and executed basic and applied research. Initiated the design and development of research projects and grant proposals. Managed a high performing team which conducted research and designed innovative Request for Proposals.

CITY OF JACKSONVILLE/KIDS HOPE ALLIANCE, Jacksonville, FL

Director-Out of School Time Grants (2014 – 2021)

Oversaw fiscal and quality management for a $6M+ portfolio of youth services contracts. Supervised the implementation of the Childcare Food Program (CFFP) grants as awarded by the Florida Department of Health and Summer Break Spot food program as awarded by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Ensured compliance with Florida Department of Education metrics and implementation of governance, operation, health services, family services, nutrition, outreach, education, and facilities of 21st Century Community Learning Centers, 21st CCLC sites. Collaborated with Senior Leadership to develop a Strategic Plan for partnering with Duval County Public Schools Principals, social services organizations, and community partners. Cultivated student engagement within 20+ afterschool programs through local government organization serving 5000+ at-hope youth. Annually completed, reviewed, and submitted grant deliverables to grantors.

Selected accomplishments:

•Advocated for youth services by gaining and imparting knowledge of local/city government policies, including the drafting of legislation and the procurement process.

•Stimulated growth by attaining and supervising two, consecutive 21st Century Community Learning Center, 21st CCLC, federal grants supporting afterschool programming in partnership with Duval County Public Schools with a $300K+ budget.

•Extended existing programming by planning and deploying annual events such as Lights on Afterschool, Summer Learning Day, and the Leaders’ Summit.

THE BRIDGE OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA, INC., Jacksonville, FL

Lead Program Manager-TEAM UP (2007 – 2014)

Enriched extracurricular involvement for 200+ students of the North Shore K-8 School by coordinating educational activities. Partnered with the Principal to devise strategies to address the needs and interests of students and faculty.

Built a highly qualified team by recruiting, hiring, and training a 30-member staff.

•Advanced programmatic growth and outreach by annually retaining 80% of staff, expanding afterschool participation to 220 students, and developing 25+ partnerships with neighborhood/community organizations.
