I assisted HR with screening/vetting candidates for open positions (EMT, SCT RN, MAVT, and Paramedics), scheduling interviews and drug screening, orientation, and training of all employees. I was responsible for making sure all timecards were correct each week so that employees are paid correctly and on time. I entered the employee's data in Oracle during the onboarding process. I would register their fingerprint in Kronos so that they are able to clock in and out.
I assisted and conducted orientation which included uniform fitting, Emergency Vehicle Operator Course, CPR, and scheduling all employees for in the field training. I instructed employees on how to navigate the scheduling program so that they are able to see their schedule and submit time off requests. I, along with the other supervisors, were certified in EVOC, CPR, and MAVT.
I would schedule certified employees to maintain par levels for contracted events and customers such as Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Sugar House Casino, Philadelphia Convention Center, American Cancer Society, MS Society, Filmore concert venue, Welcome America events at Festival Pier and Penns Landing, and Thanksgiving Day Parade, and any other Philadelphia events in conjunction with Philadelphia EMS/Fire. We provided personnel for the Pope visit to Philadelphia and send certified Emergency Response Team members when FEMA is activated so that they may assist in relief efforts. I assisted employees in ensuring they had the necessary credentials and worked closely with home office to have those credentials on hand when deployed. At one point, I was running three operations in NJ while assisting Philadelphia and then I was placed in Philadelphia and managed them from there. There was the Shore
