Roles and responsibilities handled
● Performs, preventive / corrective / breakdown / turnaround mechanical maintenance in the Plant facilities.
● Adept in routine preventive maintenance, anticipating problems before their occurrence, optimizing performance parameters, & entering records of equipment history into computer.
● Performs installation and alignment of equipment such as pumps, compressors, gas turbines, static equipment etc., and using relevant tools including computerized laser alignment tools.
● Installs, removes inspect and repairs mechanical spare parts like bearing seals on typical rotating mechanical equipment.
● Performs major overhaul of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors.
● Overhauling of gate, globe, ball, needle, butterfly & check valve replacement of stems, gates packing & servicing of gates. Control valve
● Works on various equipment in the plant as well as in workshop.
● Assists the field engineer to improve the productivity of crew by making relevant recommendation as well as to achieve cost effective maintenance.
● Identifies and reports requirement of spare parts and recommends its use on repair or replacement basis.
● Checks and verifies tools, spares and other materials for conformity with the order for is acceptance and fitness for use on arrival of items.
● Check and verifies the compliance of works executed by the contractors for its completion and technical acceptability.
● Attends group safety meeting, conducts safety talk to the crew and conducts.
● Reports incidents and near misses to enhance the positive safety culture across the work site.
● Carries out planned inspection of equipment and machinery according to prepared inspection checklist.
● Carries out hazardous classification of equipment and machinery in his assigned area and specifies critical items / parts to implement special maintenance procedures.
● Reports and fill up documents such as work permits, material request, QC documentations & etc.
● Review PTW and attend daily permit meetings, ensure permit readiness to avoid any delays at execution phase
● Responsible to ensure timely handing over of the equipment after maintenance and servicing.
Works carried out with piping
● Responsibly supervised shop fabrication and assembly activities
● Handled to maintain the fabrication sequence and standards of fabrication works.
● Monitor daily shop activities and welding progresses.
● Prepare reports for the progress and the forecast in regards the fabrication needs.
● Monitor contractor and sub-contractors for the progress.
● Handle and coordinate the pressure testing and NDT testings for the fabricated items. Works carried out within Rotating Equipment
Centrifugal Compressor: Worked with man compressor, solar, natural gas lifting centrifugal compressor and multistage gas compressor with Liquid film seal and dry gas seal system with various capacities. Involved in seal changing, bearing changing (thrust and journal bearings) and its seal and Lube oil circuits accessories Maintenance. Reciprocating Compressor
Services with various capacities having experience of reciprocating compressor of ‘V’ type with instrument air. Involved in repair and charging of valves, piston, piston rings, & its oil circuit Equipment’s and coolers maintenance.
Air Compressor:
Air compressor of all parts servicing and overhauling head, piston ring, linear, Cylinder bore wear reducing inlet valve, delivering valve, cooling water circulation handling, Inlet cooler, air cleaner, care, crane shaft bearing, journal bearing, main bearing, pulley belt, Pre filter, after filter, dryer, header volume bottle instrument air recovery, instrument air tank Compressor panel board operation start-up.
Gas Turbine: (centrifugal)
Centrifugal turbine of man turbo, solar turbine. Bleeding valve replacing and weekly once water washing. Fuel injected chancing, main gearbox, differential gear changing. Survival loader changing and adjustment. Crank shaft replacing. Whole man turbine overhauling and replacing. Cooling Tower Fans, Blowers, and Various Pneumatically Operated Equipment’s. Gear Boxes- Various Reduction & Step up Gear Boxes associated with rotating equipment’s Pumps
Involved in multistage centrifugal Pump’s overhauling, bearing changing, impeller overhauling and replacing, mechanical seal assembling and aligning the pump with prime mover by rim and face method. Worked in reciprocating pumps like Pulse Feeder. Involved in repair such as piston and piston ring changing, check valves changing, and packing changing activities. Works carried out within Static Equipment in oil and gasReactor, Vessel & Heat Exchangers: Having experience in preparation of mechanical isolations to enable the intrusive maintenance activities within the equipment. Intrusive maintenance may include and not limited to the catalyst change out in the reactors, trays removal/replacement, internal surface cleaning for inspections and internal repair works with hot works.
Flame Arrestor, Burners, Igniter
Attended mechanical work scopes with the furnaces such as preparing mechanical isolations, removal of components such as flame arrestor, Igniter from the furnaces to enable the works of E&I team. Burner removal for maintenance and overhaul. Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Strainer, Mixer
Attended mechanical scopes of intrusive maintenance activities within the equipment. Removal and reinstating the component as required for operations.
