Commended for work during the BLM protests in June of 2020.

Identify and scale up promising local non-profit organizations working in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Bangladesh. Focus is on demining efforts, general health care, and mental and physical rehab for veterans.

●Responsible for the safety and security of all GSD personnel and assets while deployed, at home station, or during training.
●Intel enabled Plans and Ops to maintain situational awareness in our operational regions. During a crisis, Security and Intel provided detailed information on the specific countries involved, providing constant updates and recommendations until the mission was complete.
●Led teams that set up the first Bay Area Covid-19 testing and vaccination centers.
●Led teams supporting the Boulder Creek, CA fire department while they fought the Lightning Complex fires in the summer and fall of 2020.
Assistant Director, Security and Rescue Operations February 2014 to January 2019

●Over a period of four years, developed and implemented Crisis Response and Emergency Management plans for several US universities in Doha, Qatar. Successfully got these previously stove-piped organizations to find efficiencies, and benefit from working off a common plan.
●Provided members worldwide, 24/7 security support to include country and area security assessments, travel risk intelligence, emergency medical care, and emergency evacuation from areas in crisis.
●Regularly consulted on projects such as facility vulnerability assessments, emergency evacuation planning and exercises, and executive protection.
●Worked with numerous NGOs developing a wide range of emergency management plans and providing up to date intelligence and travel advice.
●Deployed to Nepal and led the evacuation of over 100 people during the earthquake in April 2015.
●Led a security detail for 40 high net worth individuals and their families during the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Korea.
Special Forces Officer, US Army October 1996 to March 2013
Managed operations for an all-source intelligence and vulnerability analysis team (67 personnel) responsible for providing detailed engineering assessments and operational support for both deliberate and time sensitive strategic missions. Interfaced and coordinated regularly across agencies in the Intelligence Community to facilitate the analysis.
●Deployed teams that conducted hundreds of successful missions in support of US Special Operations Command and Defense HUMINT, resulting in the capture and continued detention of multiple high-ranking individuals. Teams also performed the confirmatory DNA analysis on the body of Osama Bin Laden.
●Operations Officer (by-name request) for the 20th Support Command Nuclear Disablement Team (NDT), deployed to Iraq in support of a sensitive mission to reduce the threat of Iraq’s legacy WMD program. Mission resulted in 1200 tons of WMD-related material safely removed from Iraq.
●Led a 100-person, multi-disciplinary team to recover stolen radiological material in western Iraq. The mission had the attention of the US Secretary of Defense and resulted in the recovery of all material, saving numerous lives in the process.
●Team Chief for a select group that provided a strategic customer with vulnerability assessments of US and NATO Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Weapons Storage sites. Work informed policy on NATO security and storage procedures. Regularly briefed results at the Special Executive Service and General Officer level. Team also worked closely with the US Embassy in Greece providing security assistance prior to the 2004 Olympics.
Regularly prepared briefings and presented projects for Flag Officer and Ambassador-level officials.
