Experience:
2001-2003
ICS Inventory Control Service / Walmart / Porter Ranch, CA
In this position I was responsible for managing the inventory that came off the delivery trucks and sorting the products out that belong to my assigned department. I was to organize those products and safely place them in large storage shelf racks. I used forklifts and scissor lifts to handle those tasks as I was forklift certified at this time. I was responsible for stacking the pallets on the side of the building following all safety requirements and helped take in loaded pallets into the back warehouse as well. I was also responsible for then taking inventory checks on the department I was managing and then pulling new products from the storage bins to help restock whatever product was running low in my department.
2003-2004

In this role I was working with the sales management team to develop new businesses through researching manufacturing, import and export companies and the volume of their inbound or outbound shipping traffic. I would coordinate with the sales representatives to make the sales calls with these newly found researched companies. I would also work with the logistics operations teams to see if we can facilitate some service requirements for the new customers we would bring aboard. I gained experience with the railroad and trucking operations around the U.S. and how the supply chain works here domestically and internationally.
2004-2006
Logistics Marketing & Operations / Re-Trans Transportation / Commerce, CA
My responsibility in this role was to learn the software used to coordinate with railroads and other trucking companies to plan the route planning of the domestic shipments. I learned how to plan 53’ rail containers to move anywhere across the country and how to service the customers by getting truckers to deliver these rail containers once they arrive at the destination rail ramp. I scheduled pickup and delivery appointments with customers and provided service updates as well. I worked with many sales representatives to bring in new business and was able to participate in the marketing and sales capacity as well.
2006-2015 (Same agency owner and management through these 3 companies – 2 company buyouts)
Logistics Dispatch Coordinator / Celtic Intermodal / Orange, CA
I started my career with this company as an Intermodal Dispatcher in March of 2006. I was one of the original team members of the Celtic Intermodal team as the company had just opened the year prior. My responsibilities included accepting new load tenders from customers, creating orders in our system, and setting up the correct railroad routes and carrier pickup and delivery planning. I scheduled the pickup appointments and delivery appointments with the shippers and receivers. I coordinated the carrier capacity, confirming pickup or delivery date and time. I made sure the carrier picked up the load at shipper, and I then submitted billing to the appropriate railroad to ensure the container will be shipped with the correct routing to the destination rail ramp. I also helped track and trace shipments while in transit as well as help secure delivery appointments with customers and secure the capacity with the delivery carrier. I held this position for a total of 9 years and was then promoted once Transplace 3PL bought and took over Celtic International in 2015.

Our team was to position equipment for these strategic markets to help capture reloads, when the railroads had limited rail containers for us to lease. We managed the yard pools at container yards and at customers. We managed the per diem for each container and made sure we reloaded them in the most cost-effective and timely manner possible. I was responsible for my employees’ reviews, salary increases, timecards, and vacation times. I made sure my two employees performed their work tasks every day and followed the correct procedures to perform their job duties. I also was responsible for the employees’ reviews, salary increases, timecards, and vacation times. I managed my team effectively, and respectively, and appreciate all their efforts and hard work they put in under my management. I held this team management position for a total of 5 years, and I learned more about business management than I ever have prior in my career.
