ROBERT G. LOPEZ
PROFILE
I am Robert Lopez, an energetic, athletic person who is seeking employment with a team that is purpose-oriented and goal-driven to succeed while fostering growth of potential talent. I am a well rounded person with a skillset that has a foundation in critical-care nursing. I have also done my rounds in the tele, med-surg, rehab and SNF/LTAC arena. My journey in healthcare began in pre-hospital care as a flight paramedic. During my journey I began studying business while working as a clinical liaison.
This mixed-experience helped me develop into an asset that is able to care and build relationships with the trust I gain from my experience and gift of gab. Recently, Robert has completed a five-year logistics immersion. While training for my full IronMan Triathlon in 2019 I took a supervisory position with United Parcel Service as a Health and Safety professional. This turned into a five-year run with the company that earned me experience in telematics, data analysis, time-keeping, labor-relations and driver time auditing for OSHA compliance. I also championed a hydration protocol for the labor workers in the hub that led to no heat injuries while on my watch. The program was adapted then adopted at a larger scale near my end of the five-years. I am excited to be back into the environment that has defined who I am and what I was meant to do. I want to continue serving the community as a healthcare provider and as an educator for our Senior population. The Community Nurse position would align with my next journey. I would be honored to serve with WellMed/Optum in this capacity Service to our community by keeping it healthy.
EXPERIENCE
FRONTLINE SUPERVISOR, UNITED PARCEL SERVICE, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
— 2019–August 2024
Robert advanced into the leadership role and was selected to be a health and safety supervisor to begin a safety program from the a foundational level. Two years later his assigned sort has risen to be at the top. With recognition and the numbers to back it up, this assignment has defined his early potential. The accomplishments in this capacity were building a safety program that was both compliant with Liberty Mutual and OSHA Guidelines. He managed the transition from paper documentation to an all digital platform that provided metrics and feedback all in real-time through Power BI and other cloud- based platforms. Through education and persuasion of his colleagues and subordinates the sort became the first sort of the district district to make the digital conversion and managed to have it running fluidly before the anticipated rollout date, exceeding expectations. Working into multiple leadership roles in operations then moving into transportation for grooming into an on-road management candidate position. NEW BRAUNFELS REHABILITATION NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS — 2016-2017 As a clinical liaison he grew the new market of San Antonio with existing relations he had from working in the clinical setting. New Braunfels was wanting to grow by tapping into the city market by marketing “Big city care with a small town touch”. His efforts laid out the path that would eventually require three additional liaisons to cover the growth that was created.
CIMA HOSPICE, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — 2014-2016
Building the relationships between the Hospice and the facilities and providers that are responsible for assigning clients to the service. Maintenance and further development were a major responsibility. I grew the agency from a small census to that which required more representatives to cover the added territories we grew to become. Summary
With an extensive critical care background with an emphasis in cardiac care, electrophysiological studies and care, and post-surgical care of the critically-ill patient. Prior to nursing, worked as a flight paramedic in the state of Texas. My experience extends to med-surg, tele, wound care, LTAC/SNF and inpatient rehab. Occupational health is now part of this list. This combined experience is what preceded my experience in the business development path. I prospered in that role, the key was strong communication, collaboration with team and in-depth knowledge. As an experienced Iron Man triathlete I understand what committing to then executing a long practiced plan. “Anything is Possible”, with commitment. I practice what I coach, clean lifestyle, clean nutrition… lead by example. Commitment, experience, knowledge and the mind-set of never quiting!
