Responsible for developing the strategy and providing leadership to 48 Senior Project Management Professionals who have responsibility for CIO and Business Projects that were political or critical to Lucent. These projects included Enterprise wide political and mission critical projects, such as mergers and acquisitions and have a value of $1 billion annually. Created the Project Management Organization in the Chief Information Office. Created, implemented and delivered training plans, career plans and progression paths for all of the Project Managers. Created a Project Management Support Office to increase productivity and professionalism. South Africa Telecom, Westinghouse and others have benchmarked the organization.
