Industrial Electrician

Over 10 years of experience with Electro-mechanical testing, troubleshooting microprocessors.

Over 7 years of experience with CANBUS.

Over 7 years of experience with J1939 technology

Experience troubleshooting electrical issues on cranes down to the component level; including relays, switches, and processors.

Utilization of Test Equipment - Proper usage of electronic test equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, RF signal generators, frequency counters, and logic analyzers.

Electronic Circuit Construction and Prototyping - Construct prototype circuits using correct breadboard techniques. Analyze and test circuit for proper operation.

Electronic Circuit Repair - Troubleshoot and repair digital and analog circuitry to the component level using proper maintenance techniques, soldering to industry standards.

Experience with using volt meters.

Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installation

• Pull copper, coaxial and fiber optic cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on equipment according to standard procedures in an efficient manner

The Field Service Technician position reports to the GPC Operations Manager & (or) Production supervisor and travels frequently to customer locations within assigned geographic area.

Ability to travel up to 75% of the year. Methods of transportation may vary.

Essential Duties:

• Maintain uptodate technical knowledge of BST eltromat products to install, commission, train, and

diagnose problems with equipment that is Microsoft based.

• Service previously installed equipment.

• Conduct computer networking with a knowledgebase of Windows and basic electrical aptitude.

• Ability to interpret and understand wiring diagrams, single phase AC, DC wiring, volt meter usage,

RS 232 and RS 422, Ethernet protocol (TCPIP) and soldering.

• Acts as Help Desk Technician for OEMs/customers. • InHouse BST eltromat modules testing and repair.

• Provide excellent customer service via phone, email and onsite.

• Communicate effectively with customers, salespersons, engineers and other departments.

• Prepare proper required documentation and tools to take to customer site.

• Receive safety training at customer site.

• Visit customers to review applications, collect technical details for Technical File of new or retrofit order

• Prepares Service/Time Report and Acceptance report for customer’s approval.

• Assist in BST eltromat product demonstrations at trade shows.

• Assist with shipping and receiving in office when Parts/Inventory Manager not available.

• Physical ability to travel with 50 pound tool chest (on wheels) and agility for stooping, climbing,

and crawling around printing equipment at customer sites.

• Be prepared for planned and emergency traveling to customers as business required.

• Make all air, hotel, and auto travel arrangements for travel to customer site according to

Company travel policies
