All Possible Futures - Senior 3D Environment Artist SEP 2022 - PRESENT
Unreal Engine, Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Photoshop All Possible Futures is an independant game development company founded in 2019 by industry veterans James Turner and Jonathan Biddle.
● Created many high-quality 3D assets, props and characters, all with optimal polygon counts and texel density, utilising modern PBR workflows.
● Used Substance Designer and Substance Painter to create many textures and materials for various assets.
● Built multiple shaders and materials for the project in UE4, with a wide variation in complexity (such as an animated raindrop on glass shader).
● Set up the lighting for multiple levels.
● Produced final production quality light bakes.
● Adjusted and optimized various assets’ lightmap densities and lightmap UVs where necessary.
● Created LODs and optimized collisions for multiple assets, as well as many bug fixes throughout the project.
● Wrote a Python script for Maya that helped speed up the process of UV unwrapping unique gameplay meshes that required 2D gameplay to take place within their textures.
● Rigged and animated characters in Autodesk Maya.
● Worked on scene development and level art for multiple 3D levels, which included set dressing environments in a believable and engaging way, with respect for the gameplay requirements of the level.
