Buyer – Hi-Line, Inc. 5+ years

•Extensive purchasing experience of electrical mil-spec and wire products, automotive and vehicle connectors, fuses and circuit breakers, pneumatic and hydraulic connectors and hose, chemicals, paint products, Fluke and Mueller test products, various automotive aftermarket products. Purchased over 10,000 products from 74 vendors, annual purchases exceeding $1,000,000.

•Seek and establish vendor contacts for new products and alternate sources, negotiate pricing and contracts where applicable. Responsible for coordinating annual new-product introductions in cooperation with Marketing and Sales departments.

•Developed and implemented company system for mil-spec product listing and documentation to exceed FAA and military requirements.

•Direct technical support for customer service, sales personnel and customers regarding products. Sales force training team, write product education articles for company magazine, training documents and text material for company catalogs.

•Consistently lead purchasing department in identifying and reducing product costs through negotiation and identification of larger quantity discounts/re-packaging. Cumulative cost reductions of stock products @$350,000 over a six year period.

Purchasing Agent - HD Supply – Utilities 4 years

•Initially began with Hughes Supply in Corinth, TX purchasing for nine regional facilities. Transitioned to HD Supply, transferred to Western Region HQ in Portland, OR during February 2007. Purchased for ten facilities in Western Region.

•Manage over 10,000 SKUs for multiple facilities within Central and Western regions, including expediting deliveries and emergency storm orders. Annual purchases of $3.7 - $6.2 million annually.

•Seek and establish vendor contacts for new products and alternate sources, negotiate pricing and contracts for improved profit margins, project planning/coordination and management.

•Consistently made maximum use of vendor freight-allowed policies and interregional transfers for reducing freight costs and reducing overstocked inventory of branches within the assigned region.

•Provide daily technical and pricing support to sales force for enhanced customer support and satisfaction.

•Served on integration training team for newly acquired Knoxville, TN facility, 2006. Following training, coordinated product conversion for all former Tennessee Valley Electric facilities to HDS - Utilities computer system.

•Served on company-wide product consolidation team, 2007 for identification and standardization product listings and descriptions for all HDS - Utilities locations.
