My Name is Scott Nokleby, I have ** years of insurance industry experience as agency sales manager and then owning my own brokerage for 23 years. After a successful sale of the agency in 2020 I semi-retired to the Walla Walla area and bought a vineyard and became a hobby farmer.

I am looking to reenter sales again and wish to apply for your position as finance and insurance sales manager.

I am a team builder and player, a sales leader and closer. I pride myself on the level of service I provide my employees, customers and business partners. Sales is a business of relationships and doing what’s right. “Everyone needs to win” has been our business and family motto for as long as I can remember. It’s the only way I know how to do business.

Experience:

Agent NASE 1986 – 1987 NASE Portland Oregon selling small group health plans. TOP Agent inn the Pacific NW Territory in sales volume.

District Manager 1988-1989 – District Sales Manager for NASE managing 15 agents. Leading District in the PAC NW Territory in recruiting and sales volume.

Agent – Equitable of New York 1989 – 1991 – Insurance sales, investments and financial planning.

1991 – 1995 Regional Sales Manager for AFLAC – Managed over 100 sales agents selling supplemental health plans. Was #5 in sales west of the Mississippi for the company in 1992, 1993 and grew to the #1 Regional Sales Team in Washington all four years. I was the #1 recruiter in the PACNW Territory and all states West of the Mississippi.

1996 -1997 New York Life, Agency Partner. Was recruited to NW Life to help them learn the business market space and teach agents how to work with business owners. We sold employee benefit solutions to reduce company overhead then converted the savings to life sales and retirement funding. This was not a good fit for me, the company moved very slowly and changed direction many times in my short tenure.

1997 – Left New York Life to start my own insurance agency, Ethix Insurance Group. Grew the agency to nearly $1,000,000 in annual commissions and 9 employees. We were the top sales office in the Pacific NW for National General Health Plans and a GOLD Level Producer for Blue Cross and Platinum for Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente and Sun Life.

I sold the agency in June 2020 for a profit and relocated to Walla Walla WA to become a farmer (vineyard). We own a vineyard and wine tasting room on our property which is managed by my wife. I help in the vineyard as needed but have a crew that takes care of much of the heavy lifting.

I build long-term relationships with customers and vendors love. I love to win the deal, make the sale and help everyone win. I believe I would make a great addition to your team and look forward to hearing from you.
