Initially founded as Viman, Inc. in October, 2004 and in 2011 re-activated as Marin Bay Partners, LLC.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Joint Genome Institute (JGI) October, 2008–March, 2011

A division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories (LBNL) managed by the University of California, Berkeley and funded by the Dept. of Energy (DOE).

Quintiles Transnational, Inc. August, 1994 – October, 2004

A $1.8 billion provider of contract research and development, sales, marketing and health economic services primarily in pharmaceutical and biotechnology.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT and CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (2003 – 2004)

Head of Global Operations for the Strategic Research Services Business Unit (QSRS), Quintiles Transnational (QTRN). Responsible for all global operations for non-registration and consulting services. Chair of the QSRS Senior Operations Executive Team.

Expanded sales from $55 million to $92 million.

Directed the hiring of four international regional general managers and established the management teams.

Successfully positioned QSRS, as a $90 million dollar operation, to become the market leader resulting in a 5% increase in market shares.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT (March,2001- 2003)

Head of International Clinical Development Services for Quintiles Japan, China and Australia. Initiated key operating systems and implemented International project management and Operational processes to enhance and Optimize Clinical Trials outcomes.

Assisted in client presentations and helped Business Development to increase net new business from $150 million to

Clingenix, Inc. March, 1999 – February, 2001

An early stage Pharmacogenomics company offering a full range of genomic based research services and diagnostic products for monitoring disease and disease progression primarily in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.

Provided vision, leadership, and management know-how for the Clingenix start-up consisting of clinical development services and Pharmacogenomics discovery.

Raised $6 million to ensure the further expansion of Pharmacogenomics intellectual property and diagnostic products.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – Operational Services, Quintiles Americas (1997 – 1999)

Led the Operational Services business unit consisting of 700 staff with core services in data management, biostatistics, clinical monitoring, drug safety, and clinical sciences. Responsible for ensuring “top” and “bottom” line performance goals consisting of

$86 million in net revenue and $19 million in operating income.

Produced a 35% increase in net revenue from $64 million to $86 million and a 73% increase in operating income from

$11 million to $19 million.

Directed a management team of 10 with oversight of Office Operational Clinical Laboratories, HR, IT, and Finance for the Americas.

Achieved 52% growth in net revenue and 55% growth in operating income for Quintiles Americas in 1996.
