PERSONAL SUMMARY
My aim is to enforces the Factories Act, Chapter 441 of the laws of Zambia which is aimed at protecting workers, factories, the communities and the environment from occupational hazards. I started of my career as Safety Officer (5) five years ago where l performed full duties at management level: My original concept of being in a Safety practitioner role is mainly to promote safety at 'grass roots' level to encourage workers to take responsibility for their own safety and welfare which in turn leads to companies having an overall improved safety record. Ensure all safety management system are in place.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES AS HEALTH SAFETY &
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER
• Ensure that all workers are in compliance with the workplace safety rules and regulation.
● Conducting Accident and incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
● Ensure that all Health and Safety and environmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
● Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
● Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessment for all work equipment and operation.
● Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements and implemented.

● Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly installed, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
● Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
● Establish a structured program of health and safety training throughout the Company.
● Keep up to date all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
● Carry out (SHEQ) safety and health environmental quality daily, weekly and monthly inspections.
● Conducting risk assessment, and hazard identification and promote safe system of working practice.
● Conducting (EIA) environmental impact assessment to ensure that occurrences do not affect company reputation.
● Implementation of (OSHAS 18001 and ISO 9001).
● Conducting induction and safety talk to employees and contractors.
● Maintain the safety, health and environmental aspects of the world system.
● Carry out monthly (SHE) safety health and environmental internal audits of all operations.
● Assist in coordinating and facilitating government inspections.
● Prepare emergency response plans in case of fire or accidents related issues.
● Compliance to (ISO) international standard operating procedures and inspect if workers are adhering to safety rules and company regulation and make sure that everyone is proper (PPE) personal protective equipment.
● Conducting environmental impact assessment on all relevant programs and projects.
