Public Health Personnel -Internship
Western Regional Public Health Division, Takoradi
June 2018 – August 2018
i. Enumerated and compiled data from various districts in the region to track all data across the western region in a format suitable for online storage and accessibility which aided decision-making. ii. Collaborated with a team of health professionals to conduct health audits of vessels entering the ports to ensure requirements in regards to the health and safety, hazards and determined the underlying causes of those hazards.
iii. Identified neglected tropical diseases to control, eliminate and eradicate such diseases in the region, therefore ensuring the understanding of effective surveillance, early detection, transparency and rapid response mechanisms in the various districts.
iv. Routinely vaccination inspected of the regional cold room to maintain the cold chain and ensure vaccine effectiveness and tolerability. v. Participated in mid-year reviews which summarised district healthcare services issues and identified, and improved the performance delivery of healthcare across the region.
