Assignment Editor for CHCH Morning Live (2002 to 2015) Responsible for being aware of news developments locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and selecting those events to be presented in daily three-hour broadcasts and to expand coverage of those events from outside sources or deploying our own people and equipment. On a daily basis under deadlines, developing story ideas, assigning news gathering crews including writers, reporters, photographers, video editors, microwave truck operators and creators of graphics. As assignment editor for a live on-air program, serving as the main communications hub for crews in the field such as reporters and photographers, truck operators, newsroom writers and video editors, control room director and producer, management, and outside communications including police, media and corporate relations people, government agencies and the public.

Business Editor – Producer (1996 to 2000)
Developed the program concept for “The Morning Market” and initiated the partnership between CHCH-TV and Bloomberg Information Television in New York to launch and broadcast Canada’s first daily two-hour TV business program on a multi-screen format that provided business, economic and financial markets news using Bloomberg resources and those of CHCH.
As producer and co-host of “The Morning Market” I negotiated the use of the Bloomberg multi-screen format to include Canadian content that included my daily interviews with business and financial markets news makers from trading rooms at Canadian financial institutions, The Toronto Stock Exchange and in trading rooms in New York.
