Assist Sheet metal and Electrical dept. completing all dorms with hurricane lee straps and waterproof all electrical boxes. Walk through checkpoint with supervisor, NAFSEA and SWARMAC for discrepancies. Navy ship repair onboard the USS MAKIN ISLAND on pier 8 at 32nd street Navy Base San Diego. Modernizing the armory, Rip out all office equipment turn them in rifle storage lockers. Fabricate lockers at shop using FCAW and SMAW, install onboard. Weld foundations with FCAW, air test welds, QA inspect prior to checkpoint with Nassco. Rip out Stern Gate stainless steel angle to replace gasket. Grind prep clean for install using Air Arc and grinders. Weld with .45 stainless steel FCAW. Follow all safety rules and regulations accordance with Navy and Nassco. Relocate Safety nets in various auxiliary escape trunks. Rip out using saw saw to cut the old staples, light brackets. Install and weld pipes, new staples and light fixtures using SMAW. VT all welds prior to calling QA.
