WORK EXPERIENCE :
Last ten years
2022 - present: Consultant Nephrologist and Head of the Nephology Department at the King Salman Medical City, Medina Saudi Arabia
2010 – 2021: Transplant Nephrologist and Preceptor to Renal Fellows at the Renal Transplant Program of the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre – Universidade Federal RGS. Evaluation of patients with CKD to kidney transplant, care of inpatients and outpatients in post op kidney transplant, percutaneous kidney transplant biopsy, prescription of dialysis including continuous renal replacement therapy in the ICU, insertion of temporary hemodialysis catheters, placement of tunneled hemodialysis catheters.
2008 – 2021: Consultant nephrologist at CDT ( Center of Dialysis and Transplant): care of hemodialysis outpatients and inpatients with renal diseases including patients with acute renal failure in the ICU ( CRRT in intensive care unit) and chronic renal failure in need of renal replacement therapy, diagnosis and management of outpatients and inpatients with Glomerulopathies, Hypertension, Kidney stones, Polycystic renal disease, Proteinuria, Hematuria.

Privileges
All privileges entitled to a Consultant Nephrologist including but not exclusive to:
Core procedures: percutaneous biopsy in native and transplant kidney, insertion of temporary and tunneled hemodialysis catheters, kidney diagnostic ultrasonography. Clinical Responsibilities
• Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Nephrology according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
• Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe.
• Responsible for the timely completion, competencies, accuracy and eligibility of the medical record.
• Provides on-call service and ensures availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with hospital policy.
• Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge.
• Ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to Nephrology, as assigned.

• Provides orientation, bedside training and supervision to interns, residents and fellows as assigned.
