Develop a suitable organization HSE Policy which portrays the organizations goals and practicable strategies to achieve them

Develop the HSE Manual as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 standards which form the core values and guidelines on which the IMS would be built.

Promote good health, safety, environmental and quality practices (HSE) throughout company activities.

Review the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy Statements on an annual basis.

Ensure the Management support in terms of availability of resources to support the operation and monitoring of HSE processes.

Ensure that Local Policy Statements/Fire Plans and Fire hazard identification and Risk Assessments are produced as per HSE standards of the company and quality assured.

Devise, develop and monitor effective Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment management strategies for the HSE policy and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Maintain Accident Incident and Injury statistics, analyses trends and propose and take remedial action where necessary

Investigate or arrange for all accidents and near-misses be investigated, prepare report of Findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement approved course of action.

Where necessary prepare reports to the enforcing authority as required by the reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations.

Assist and support faculties and departments in the preparation of risk assessments.

Monitor the availability and appropriateness of risk assessments and, where necessary, safe working Practices.

Maintain a register of First Aiders and ensure the adequate provision of first aid and welfare facilities.

Ensure all First Aiders are appropriately trained, (subject to qualification), Coordinating training to members of staff to enable them to become First Aiders.

Liaise as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, and provide assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.

Conducting PTW Meetings and Safety Line Walk with Clients, Project manager and contractors for pre- commissioning and commissioning activity. Ensure the integrity of HSE controls inside commissioning areas, including PTW, mechanical and electrical isolation lock out/tag out (LOTO).

Conducting regular/periodic gas checking on confines spaces updating gas stickers, gas reading checklist and gas free certification.

Verify Lifting Plan, inspect Lifting equipment’s, color code and preparation for Heavy Lifting Activity.

Carry out routine inspection/checks on lifting equipment in accordance with the maintenance procedures, color code and pre-use checklists.

Ensure training, tool box meetings and drills are implemented as part of the HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.

Coordinating in overall administration, procurement and project execution plans with Sub Contractors, Project Team & Project Managers.

Conduct formal Site HSE inspections and HSE Meetings on weekly basis with CONTRACTOR Site Management and ensure recommended actions are closed by CONTRACTOR and report submitted to COMPANY.
