Re: Motivation letter for the position of ECP Finance at MC DONALD Rwanda Dear Country Director,

I have seen an advert for the position of the ECP Finance at MC DONALD Rwanda and I am interested in applying for that position.

Briefly I am a CPA (Kenya) qualified accountant completed in June 2013 and finalizing on MBA (Masters of Business Administration) specialized in project management. I am remaining with only 3 courses to attend and expected to be completed in this Semester ending May 2025. I have a 13 years’ work experience i.e. 1 year experience as the payable officer in Tigo Rwanda Ltd from January 2012 to October 2012; 9 years as an Auditor in PwC Rwanda Ltd (Price Waterhouse Coopers Rwanda Ltd) joined since October 2012; 0.5 years at Kigali Bus Services Ltd (KBS Ltd) as the Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) with effect from 15 November 2021 to May 2022 and 2.5 years as Financial Controller at Enabel in Rwanda.

Currently I am still working at Enabel as Financial Controller in charge of TREPA/COMBIO/DeSIRA/NaturAfrica projects from 5 July 2022 to date. I am occupied with successful work experience and expertise in managing multi-donor fund portfolios for international development organizations. Over 13 years of experience working in Finance, Procurement, Auditing, Administrative and Grants management of donor-funded programs providing a blended technical, operational and financial management support to ensure cost effective, timely and compliant programs’ delivery. Being focused in financial, regulatory and donor compliance objectives to strategically plan and execute program budgets. I have also demonstrated the capacity to multi-tasking, having occupied positions requiring combination as Finance, Auditing, procurement and administrative lead. Some specific skills include Grants Management, Capacity Building, Auditing, Financial Management, Budgeting, Monitoring, and donor reporting.

My experience is multi-sectoral including experience in International Development Cooperation Agencies like Enabel and Private sector such as PWC Rwanda Ltd KBS Ltd and Tigo Rwanda Ltd. 2
