TJ MAXX – PAINTSVILLE, KY

ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

JULY 2023 – DEC. 2023

I oversaw a team of two in the cash office, Set up the new database, printer and everything in the cash office at the new store location. I maintained the daily safe count, added cash and counted down the tills every morning, entered daily totals into the database. Prepared money bags for the cash drawers and reported any occurrences to the safety and audit team. Reported errors to the Cashier and gave pointers on how to improve performance. Ordered any needed coins or bills weekly from the bank. I occasionally assisted with employee work schedules. Maintained employee records, filled in for the Lead Customer Service Coordinator when needed, covering for lunch and breaks. Filled in for the Coordinator over the jewelry department. I was trained to be able to fill in for any position in the store from Cashier, key holder, Coordinators and Assistant Manager. I loved having a lead role, wearing many hats and being a part of getting the store started from the ground up. I would not have left but they cut back everyone’s hours and I couldn’t afford to work part-time hours.

We got a new HR Manager that worked out of the Mt. Vernon office. She wanted to move the position over to her area so that all of her employees were there with her. There were no open positions at the organization at the time for me to transfer into. So, I looked elsewhere. My plan was to retire there. But God had other plans for me. He knows best!
