Ward Coordinator; roles and responsibilities:
Program;
-Facilitate the provision of the comprehensive DREAMS package of services to Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGWY) in accordance with, national and donor guidelines and CUP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at reducing HIV, GBV and unplanned pregnancy among the AGYW.
-Organize quarterly and monthly ward-level planning sessions, generate work plans and budgets.
-Facilitate delivery of activities in the approved work plans and associated budgets and communicate any needed changes prior to implementing these changes.
-Conduct on-site monitoring visits and conduct fortnightly formal feedback sessions with field staff and document through minutes deliberations of these meetings.
-Work in collaboration with other departments including HR, finance, procurement and administration to ensure all financial and administrative aspects are carried out seamlessly and in line with relevant organization policies and procedures.

-Ensure timely and effective implementation of CSEA interventions as planned, considering donor demands at the ward level.

-Ensure the roll out of AVSI WINGS Plus ES model.
-Collaborate with the facilitators to conduct SG health checks as per AVSI WINGS Plus requirement.

-Participate in up monthly and quarterly review meetings to review on project implementation progress, address emerging issues and plan for subsequent actions.
-Plan quarterly feedback sessions as well as organize action reflection sessions with the Stakeholders, AGYW, partners and Caregivers.
-Conduct regular spot checks to AGYWs in VTIs, apprenticeship and internship to monitor their progress.

Local Implementing Partner: Center for the Study of Adolescence (CSA) Title: Assistant Ward Coordinator in Mukuru Kwa Njenga Ward- Nairobi County, Embakasi South sub-county.
Reporting to: Ward Coordinator and County Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
-Work closely with World Vision/Tumikia Mtoto, Ward Administrators, Local Advisory Committees and CBOs to ensure seamless and effective implementation of DREAMS in the wards; leading to its success.
-Work with World Vision, partner CBOs, Ward Administrators and the Local Advisory Councils
(LACs) to identify and mobilize vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) using the vulnerability criteria developed by Tumikia Mtoto program.
- Map out intervention implementation areas based on geographical vulnerability scale developed by World Vision/Tumikia Mtoto program.
-Identify together with ward level stakeholders and manage a central, girls-only Safe Space in each of the administrative wards of intervention; be the resident coordinator of the Safe Space, ensuring that it is equipped and stocked with DREAMS commodities, ensure that it is safe and that it is branded accordingly.
-Mobilize and Facilitate Implementation of the DREAMS package of evidence Based interventions including, Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction Planning, Healthy Choices for A better Future, My Health My Choice, Financial capability training, Entrepreneurship Training, SHUGA 1 & 2, SASA, Family Matters Programming and promotive interventions like Condolympics and IEC materials distribution to reach the target AGYW.
-Sensitize health care workers on adolescent friendly services; and facilitate school- based HIV and pregnancy prevention sessions.
-Liaise with World Vision/Tumikia Mtoto program to ensure vulnerable girls receive the full package of behavioral and economic empowerment interventions
-Support in the timely and accurate data entry process for the ward level activities. - Secure, store and protect from misuse all DREAMS-procured program assets. This includes maintaining an upto-date inventory register detailing World Vision/Tumikia Mtoto program tagged assets. -Play the role of the local DREAMS representative in so far as the implementation of EBIs will be involved. -Ensure adherence to the ethics, rules and regulations set to regulate the behavior of everyone working with AGYW at the safe space.
-Sign a Working with Children Ethics, which will be retained at your local DREAMS offices in a manner that will be easy to access by donors.
-Verification and querying of AGYWs Files before entry into the DREAMS database
-Ensure documentation of all program implementation activities both at field and Office level - Provide weekly summaries by Mondays and monthly summaries by 4th of every month Ensure that all the tools, guidelines and SOPs are available at community level

Duties and responsibilities.
Program;

-In conjunction with the mentor and Ward Coordinator; support in scheduling for EBI sessions while working closely with other service providers (Health care providers etc)
-Ensure close collaboration with the project teams at ward level for smooth implementation of the EBI.

-Ensure participation of AGYW, their caregivers and/or partners in relevant program activities through mobilization and continuous follow up.
-Work closely with the mentor in identifying and linking AGYW to available resources within the community.

-Take leadership in ensuring all required materials are available and venue set up before session time for quality assurance.
