●Built a workforce training program for over 200 production line leads and line workers from scratch.
●Determined target audience’s needs by partnering with senior plant management to interview subject matter experts such as key department managers to determine program goals, budget, timeline, resources, and implementation approach.
●Developed a 6-step analysis of context, participants, work, content, suitability, and cost-benefits to identify gaps and determine management’s and employees’ expectations for the proposed skills-based training program. Work-related materials, such as the weekly safety talks and SOP, were reviewed, workers’ supervisors were interviewed for their insights, and workers were observed to learn ways they used their language and technical skills in daily tasks.
●Designed, developed, and taught a customized, hands-on, instructor-led technical training program that improved the target audience’s compliance with standard operating procedures and utilization of the plant’s SAP system.
●Monitored project milestones with weekly reports to senior management using a trainer and peer scored performance gap measurement at the beginning, midpoint, and completion of each 12-week session. This resulted in a clear understanding of participants’ grasp of course content. Evaluation tools measured participants’ communication and SAP data entry skills in one-on-one and group settings. Measurements were organized around a single work-related theme and provided an accurate and actionable way to gauge their readiness for future lessons.
