CONTINUED JOB DUTIES
Duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for delivering superior estimating and additional preconstruction responsibilities Vet and follow up with all inquiries for RFP’s
Responsible for all preconstruction, estimating functions on all projects Organizes, reviews and approves all levels of estimating, from conceptual to detailed final bid Responsible for all Cost Management
Reviews and approves subcontracts are bought out properly Work together and ensure a team approach with all project teams Train, Coach and Mentor of staff
Review all contracts
Assigns responsibilities for team members on each project. Reviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope. Identifies risk issues and their order of magnitude. Solicits subcontractor and/or supplier information & pricing. Assists in Good Faith Efforts as required.
Prepares instructions to bidders, bid forms, and other bid solicitation information as required. Performs and/or manages the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budgets. Prepares conceptual budgets based on minimal information. Reviews general conditions, schedules, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics and other exhibits as prepared by Operations.
Ensures that the flow of project information is maintained and documented. Reviews and/or manages the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids. Coordinates insurance requirements with Risk Manager. Coordinates technical proposal requirements with Marketing. Reviews constructability issues with operational staff. Maintains and communicates data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs. Analyzes alternate means and methods to determine the most economic alternatives. Builds effective relationships with customers, design teams, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations. Actively participates in industry, client and community relations to enhance company image. Performs other related duties as needed.
Assists project personnel on successful proposals as follows: Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects including the Pre-Construction/Job Kick-off Meeting/Runs project management meetings.
Adjusts
Prepares all invoicing and confirms receivement of payments. Works with Green rater to confirm point requirements. Assist in the preparation and review of work plans as requested. Participate in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriate. Pricing of change impacts as required.
