Object Computing Inc

Team member of Micronaut open-source project. I worked on several internal projects. One handled shipping/supply chain issues. It allowed the user to take and attach pictures of the shipment along the way...if the USPS had to hand off to UPS or FedEx it would allow tracking. This system also allowed for a GPS/temp/shock sensor in the packaging to transmit data back from source scans, so you could find out on which leg something got too warm, dropped, or was sent out of the way. This help with the tracking of medications that are temp-sensitive or electronic pieces that needed to be handled carefully. The shipper could track down where a package was mishandled and know when it was unacceptable to the receiver - rather than waiting until arrival and not knowing where the problem occurred. Another OCI project was a raffling system they could take with them to conferences. It originally ran on a raspberry pi, but we migrated it to Google cloud with security so they could get conference attendees to sign up (and have their contact info) and raffle books or T-shirts to attendees. Environments were cloud based - used GCP and Azure for most things
