Resume:

Robert Landau (Secret Level clearance)

April **, 2025

Nash Harbor Solutions, LLC

HR Director/Manager:

Good day. My name is Bob Landau and I am submitting my CV for the Sr. Broadcaster/Producer role you have posted (for your client the U.S. Navy).

As my resume indicates, I have an expert-level background in all facets of video, broadcast and multimedia production, especially videography, lighting, digital editing (Adobe CSS & FCP) and still photography, as well as an extensive level of proficiency in managing, scheduling, budgeting and managing both clients and internal and external personnel, within multimedia arenas. Further, my work in film production same as Production Coordinator or Production Manager, in which I served in the capacities of negotiating and maintaining contracts for equipment, facilities, outside vendors and talent, scheduling crew, equipment, sets, dailies and post-production. Since moving back to the Mid-Atlantic area, I have transitioned into working within video production, broadcast and government contracts.

In recent years, I have worked under multiple government contracts with companies like ITI, OmniTec, Kizano Corp., Tyto Athene and CACI. Much of that work has been in the government and government contracting sectors, where I brought a high level of expertise and the ability to collaborate and speak easily with my colleagues and government supervisors. Other work includes, but is not limited to, the Dept. of V.A., U.S.P.S., Voice of America, HHS and NGO’s like B’nai B’rith International, IMF and many private sector companies.

Over the years, I have garnished a reputation (and awards) not only for my creative and technical skills, but also my management and my interpersonal skills. On my last contract at H.U.D. (I have had three, there), I worked directly with Secretary Fudge and her staff, not only on managing and directing her video broadcast and editing work, but also writing/editing her Prompter scripts – which does not usually befall a contractor.

A key for this position is the multifaceted aspect of handling the creative side of ideation, research & scripting, producing, directing, videography, editing, captioning, formatting (for playback and web deliverables), digital archives/cataloging and still photography. And, of course, there is the technical sides of production; trouble-shooting when issues arise, fixing those and furthering relations with the staff and clientele – all of which I excel in doing. I take pride in my work in all these areas, and my ability to partner with my client(s) and colleagues. This is done, in large part, by way of proper planning and preparation. From a first-hand knowledge standpoint, I bring a premium level of skill sets that I bring to the table. And I am also the go-to guy for finding the right music to match the mood of any project.

In closing, allow me to say that I have had the success I refer to because of my ability to combine my diverse and extensive technical abilities with cooperatively and easily collaborating with many people and adapt to changes in what is best for the overall project. I see the big picture and work thoroughly with all parties, to achieve it, and I see that we deliver the best product possible for them.

I look forward to hearing from you and discussing my potentials with Nash Harbor in greater detail.

Respectfully Yours,

Robert S. Landau

Multimedia Samples for Bob Landau

I am giving you choices for what it is you want to look at to see my work. There are individual links to videos on YouTube that show a variety of production skill sets and styles to give examples of the diversity of my abilities, as well as the consistency of quality. These include informative videos (mostly for government agencies), an award winning PSA and also a sampling of photography and Photoshop work. Producing, Directing, Editing, Videography and Lighting The Video Services department at DAU is experiencing new growth, adding three Producer/Multimedia Specialist/ Editor positions as contractors and a new Production Lead on the government side. This new blood will be advancing the use of creative story-telling and video techniques to further the University’s presence and ability to deliver top-notch product. Seeing as my current position is as a Producer/Multimedia Specialist and Production Manager for DAU, I am including two brief clips from two videos I did this year for one of their divisions for the Annual Update Conference.

The first is from a somewhat straightforward presentation for a client, using talking head testimonials to deliver their message. We added not just working with the presenters to use the tool within Teams to “soften” their background, but also sent a green screen blank image they could add, and we shot one of them using that, and keying in a “soft” background, ourselves. The graphics and style were new for DAU. https://youtube.com/watch?v=d4UqV1W5YnE

On the second one, the lighting and camera set up was all new for DAU, something I and two of my colleagues worked on and designed. There will be graphics that can be added on an as-needed basis, but this is sampling of the video of guest speakers, and their introductions to their video modules that are in progress. Towards that end, one of my main responsibilities – aside from Production Managing shoots and equipment – is in the directing of talent, switching the live broadcasts and massaging the scripts that the clients initial come up with. https://youtu.be/RjMeXs5RXdY

This clip is the promotional video (PSA) for HUD, in which the Broadcast/Video Division Director wanted to showcase the variety of production elements they could do for their stakeholders. The Director of this division wanted to have visuals that would “pop”, using different colors and production techniques to highlight what they had to offer. He asked me – a day-hire contractor, before I was FT staff – to bring my vast experience in producing, shooting and design to create a montage like segment that needed no voice over/dialog to communicate these elements.

Purposefully using different color splashes for backgrounds, low lit areas of technical components to allow the lighted buttons to stand out and the use of a variety of production techniques such as Jib, Steadi-cam, hand held and circumference “spinning” tripod shots allowed us to show these available devices & techniques. All along, I specifically used clips from projects and events that had a high level of agency personnel, marketing exposure and importance to the agency, as a whole. Specifically, the shot of a staff videographer shooting a commercial for the in house gym gave the look of seeing the production being done. The editing of the piece had a purposeful design, as well, starting with the basics of intra-agency scheduling to a classroom to the bigger and more involved productions, showing a number of the same events repeating in different stages of the creative & technical process, culminating with the final preparations for the Secretary of HUD about give an on-camera address. (This production won a Telly Award for original Government Agency Self Promotion spots)

Photo Retouching

Color correction and retouching form various clients. Color grading and correction, as well as masking and highlighting – down to the thin sparks of flame from a welder. At HUD, I also serve as the back-up still photographer for the department, and have won her (and her staffs’) trust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of5Z6IL5XTo
