Development and support of a very large real-time system for trading calls and leads.

I was amazed by the scope, size (250,000 lines of code in 2019), craftsmanship and level of automation of four major rails applications working together. The system is integrated with thousands of partners selling and buying calls and leads via eLocal, and keeps adding new ones. Additionally, it supports highly configurable reports for both internal users and partners, as well as invoicing for buyers and sellers, resolution of disputed sales, account management and customer service, guidance on optimal pricing for buyers, etc. Hundreds of different tasks not requiring real-time processing are performed asynchronously via Sidekiq. Hosted by and heavily integrated with AWS. Automatics Jenkins CI build process using rubocop, rspec, jest, and breakman. Rollbar is used for detecting production issues.

Handled multiple projects including design and development of new business processes, integrations with external systems, as well as hundreds of enhancements. Worked with company founder on several key initiatives. Handled major infrastructure projects, such as migration from Rails v5 to v6, migration from an older version of Sidekiq to a newer one requiring modern Redis, as well as replacing free Sidekiq with paid Sidekiq Pro. Developed data feeds for Kafka and OpenSearch. Analyzed business problems using SQL queries. Created a gem for sending key business events to AWS OpenSearch to allow its built-in AI to detect production issues not visible to Rollbar.

·Designed and developed several subsystems of Intelligence web portal intended to analyze the quality of satellite and terrestrial radio signal reception across US and Canada, including In-band, IM3, and CIR analyses.
