While living in Australia volunteered at Pegasus. There helped physically and or mentally disabled

children learn to ride and care for horses. It was a very full-filling experience. It combined my love of

horses and love of children enabling me to help children realize their dreams despite their disabilities

while still utilizing my skills in nursing.

March 2001 to 2008

began my career at TMH on 4th floor cardiac unit, working swing shifts. was responsible for direct

patient care as well as Medication passes multiple times a day. After months of experience in the

cardiac unit, transferred to the med/surge pool, working various floors and shifts doing patient care

and medication passes. During this time also worked on the Psych/mental health and Geriatric psych/

mental health floors. transferred to the orthopedic/hospice unit directly after leaving the med/surge

pool where found my passion in hospice. was still responsible for patient care and medication passes

throughout the day. With hospice, had more time to interact with my patients and families. In addition to

hospice was responsible for post-operation knee and hip replacement patients, back surgery patients,

and various other orthopedic patient care. The majority of orthopedic care was taking orders, changing

dressings, passing medications and other patient care as needed. While working on the hospice floor

became IV certified to further increase my patient care skill set.
