Highly motivated environmentalist with relevant work experience includes 20+ years of progressively responsible experience with environmental program management, Strong background in conducting field activities including conducting at national, organizational, and/or facility level to understanding an entity’s Greenhouse gas emissions profile and report it in the form of an emissions inventory (MRV), Pollution, Environmental Impact Assessment, Biodiversity, and forestry as well. Demonstrate proficiency in project and report support, scheduling, technical skills, data collection, accuracy, and time management. Moreover, I am working the Federal Environmental Authority and Ministry of Plan together with staffs in the policy development to strengthen the National climate issues working together with all different stakeholders’ on sustainable trade, investment, and private sector development and I contributed to environmental, social and economic growth in Ethiopia. My reliability, communication skills, responsibility and friendly nature are assets I would bring to the work. I have experience in project management and strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work independently and use my own initiative. I also have the ability to prioritize whilst under pressure meeting tight deadlines. I have specific experience in research, data collection and analysis. I voluntarily serve as a board member and individual member in local NGOs who are implementing in Ethiopia.

I am responsible to ensure that the project produces the results specified in the project document, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. I facilitate and inform the Project Board and the Project Assurance roles of any delays or difficulties as they arise during implementation so that appropriate support and corrective measures can be adopted. I am working on Green House Gas (GHG) Measuring Reporting and Verification (MRV) which seeks to improve the existing technical and institutional capacity challenges by enhancing the institutional and technical capacity related to climate action transparency in Ethiopia and prepared and submitted the Third National Communication Report (TNC) and Biennial Update Report
(BUR) to UNFCCC in year 2023.
Specific responsibilities include:
Conduct MRV of mitigation actions (e.g., policies and projects) to assess their GHG effects and sustainable development (non-GHG) effects as well as to monitor their implementation. .
MRV of support (e.g., climate finance, technology transfer, and capacity building) to track provision and receipt of climate support, monitor results achieved, and assess impact.
Plan the activities of the project and monitor progress against the approved work plan.
Execute activities by managing personnel, goods and services, training and low-value grants, including drafting terms of reference and work specifications, and overseeing all contractors’ work.
Monitor events as determined in the project monitoring plan, and update the plan as required.
Provide support for completion of assessments required by UNDP, spot checks and audits.
Manage requests for the provision of UNDP financial resources through funding advances, direct payments or reimbursement using the FACE form.
Monitor financial resources and accounting to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reports.

Monitor progress, watch for plan deviations and make course corrections when needed within project board-agreed tolerances to achieve results.
Ensure that changes are controlled and problems addressed.
Perform regular progress reporting to the project board as agreed with the board, including measures to address challenges and opportunities.
