WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Specialist
Weill Cornell Medicine
12/2022 - 11/2024, NY, USA
Merghoub Laboratory, part of the Edward Meyer Cancer Center, led by Dr. Jedd D. Wolchok. Our research project is focusing on the study of means to improve response to immune-based therapies in cancer. We are studying the effects of combining chemotherapy with immunotherapy and its role in regulating the anti-tumor activity in the context of multiple currently approved treatment regimens.
Design and develop preclinical research models focused on improving cancer patients' responses to FDA-approved immune-based therapies. Collect, analyze, and interpret data, then present them during our Laboratory meetings. Establish a biorepository bank permitting the collection and processing of human tumor samples helpful for multiple clinical trials. Patient Medical Chart Review for a Retrospective Study Prostate-Sparing Cystectomies for Bladder Cancer. Patient enrollment for a Multi-Cancer Early Detection Test clinical trial focused on cancer screening. Read and interpret scientific and medical literature and evaluate the study design and results. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subjects Protection (HSP) certification. Contact : Pr. Taha Merghoub - *********@***.*******.*** Research Assistant
