•1. Photographed all requested events onboard and ashore as required, always being proactive to maximize image counts and image quality in order to meet established performance goals. Wore mascot costumes inside/outside the ship for photo shoots, engaging guests with lively energy and enthusiasm at all times. Followed trained departmental and shipboard environmental rules and regulations, including use of Personal Protective Equipment, when working (or assisting other team members) in the Photo Lab. Effectively handled guest requests and questions (photo department and general shipboard issues) at any time. Covered all photo events as deemed necessary by the Photo Manager.

United States Navy June 2002-November 2011 MASS COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST 2nd Class Petty Officer

1. Primary responsibilities included writing articles and shooting stories for the monthly customs newsletter, the Sand scribe; also helped in laying out the cruise book this deployment as well as serving as a customs inspector.

2. Provided exceptional support of the CTF-56 Combat Camera Detachment Bahrain Sailors of needed motion and still photography of SIERRA missions throughout Kuwait. As backup photographer, you provided supplemental video footage and still shots on location. When primary video equipment faltered, my photographic materials became essential to the mission resulting in expert training materials used by SIERRA to train TANGO prior to deployment in theater.

3. Provided expert photographic work at the US Embassy in Kuwait for eleven Sailors who reenlisted was most welcome by the Sailors and the Command. The print production of photo montages of each Sailor and soft copies served to capture a very important event in theater for each individual Sailor and the Navy.

4. Provided expert photographic work in support of the US Navy s Chief Petty Officer Induction in Kuwait. Voluntary produced Induction packages consisting of print production of photo montages for each Chief and soft copies on DVD preserving their unique opportunity to be pinned as Chief Petty Officers white on deployment in theater.

5. Provided expert graphics support in the numerous projects tasked by Battalion leadership in support of Customs Battalion Sierra s mission. Projects of specific mention are the Customs Brochure for distribution in theater to redeploying units and the Transfer of Authority pamphlet for the SIERRA-TANGO Customs Battalion Ceremony. Both projects were by direction of the Commanding Officer and deemed essential to the customs mission.

6.Provided exceptional effort and expertise in support of the Battalion s Public Affairs Officer, program and commitments were most appreciated by the command. Provided direct concern on behalf of the Sailors on mission here support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom has been notable and in keeping with the best traditions of the United States Navy.
