Promotes, devises, establishes and/or improves where needed, the company’s quality procedures, standards, and specifications to support the QMS.

Manages the training of all site employees in the Standard Operating Procedures.

Recruit, train, coach and develop high performing teams.

Provides Quality oversight, including problem resolution of production processes and other business processes.

Reports key metrics to evaluate the performance of the Quality Department such as Cost of Quality, plant accountable complaints, internal rejections, quality testing turnaround time, etc.

Interfaces with other departments, customers and/or suppliers to coordinate and resolve quality related issues.

Works with other departments to conduct internal quality audits.

Facilitates change management process as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsible for contract manufacturer approval process and auditing.

Analyzes customer concern/complaint data to identify risks and/or areas of improvement.

Generates improvement ideas and embraces improvement projects to better the business. Initiates and leads continuous improvement projects through lean and six sigma tools.

Supports the Design Control Process for New Product Development.

Supports Operations team to ensure proper coverage of production operations. Act as a backup for direct reports, when required.

Follows the 80/20 philosophy in prioritizing daily tasks and serves as a contributing member of the Technical Operations Staff.

Professionally represents company in several diverse settings including active participation in required audits and other related meetings.

Responsible for sub-supplier’s quality performance, to ISO 9000 standards and specific requirements of the automotive industry on all new products.

Lead responsibility for implementation of all corrective actions (8D, & 7-step, 5Y) and preventative measures to ensure conformance to specific project requirements at Lear production plants and supplier locations.

Lead responsibility for Appearance Approval (AAR) for all associated parts produced through Lear for interior parts going directly into Daimler Chrysler on the 2005 Dakota program.

Conducting regular reviews of tooling, gages and associated secondary equipment on new and existing programs.
