Southwest Key Programs is a Texas-based nonprofit organization that operates shelter facilities for unaccompanied immigrant minors and immigrant youth separated from their parents. It also provides youth justice alternative programming and educational programming. The organization was founded in 1987.

Case Manager Responsible assessing cases, sponsors, and families to provide a thoughtful recommendation for a safe reunification. Responsible for the submission of Service Plans, Case Reviews and Updates and other assessments required for compiling a comprehensive case file found on Southwest Key Programs (SWK) the designated web-based program with supporting documentation maintained in physical files of those minors assigned.

Maintain a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule.

Main Functions:

-Conduct initial intake interviews of youth gathering potential sponsorship information and to establish age of the client

-Conduct interviews with family members and/or sponsors to determine the integrity of the relationship and verify information received from minor within 24 - 48 hours upon admission to the shelter

-Determine options available for youth within 48-72 hours and proceed with the required documentation to reunify the minor with family in home country or in the United States as deemed applicable

-Ensure the timely completion of assessments and corresponding Service Plans in accordance to SWK and ORR requirements

-Document all actions and contacts with minor, sponsor and other family members or stakeholders in the form of progress notes as required by SWK, State and Federal contracts

-Complete and submit reunification packets to the corresponding authorities ( GDIT and FFS)
