I performed safety orientations, worksite inspections, incident investigations and observations. I provided support to the contractor, during heavy-lift and light helicopter operations, building and placing of electrical towers. I provided safety support, while the civil work and two new sub-stations Suncor Main Plant- Mine / South Tailing Pond Major Projects Project HSE Coordinator, Weir Minerals (March 2011 – March 2012) Provided all safety operations for a 200 Million dollar barge project on Suncor south tailing. Safety Advisor/ H2S Specialist (April 2003 – July 2006) Coordinated and delivered emergency preparedness training to onsite. Site specific emergency response planet up gas monitoring equipment and supplied air. I assisted with incident investigations, conducted orientations, provided training and coaching. I provided onsite Safety Supervision during Critical H2S Completion with services rigs or testing companies. I provided Safety Supervision during drilling operations, and was the H2S specialist in the event of well control problems. I was a member of the Emergency Response team for 22 Plant Turnarounds, involving up to 30-1500 contractors on location. Set up supplied air, supervised safety watch and air tecks, was on stand-by to perform rescues in the event of an emergency during tower work and confined space entry.
