● Leadership – Leads a functionally diverse team responsible for map publications and remote sensing data and tool development. Work to achieve quick turnaround on products and support.

● Agency working group – On a Forest Service team working to develop new symbology and rewrite National map specifications.

● GIS and Cartography – Managed individual cartography projects producing published maps for the public. Produced map and data products in ArcMap and ArcPro software.

● SOP Development – Developed a process document for Forest Visitor Map production within ArcGIS/ArcPro using corporate/enterprise data systems as the primary data source.

● Hiring – Assisted on hiring panels and with resume review for new cartography team hires both for graphic design and GIS roles on the team.

USDA Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Regional Office, Data and Analysis Branch Chief, (5/22/2023 – 9/17/2023, 120 Day Detail) Remote from Harrisville UT

● Supervision – Supervised a customer support focused team consisting of GIS staff, a data specialist, and a network IT specialist.

● Contractor coordination – coordinated and managed contracted services for data entry and data clean-up for the Region’s FACTS data surge support. This effort corrected several years worth of data entries for 18 National Forests.

● Hiring – Participated on hiring panels for GIS and remote sensing staff.

● Program Management – Worked with staff to develop project plans and schedules for projects. Also worked as part of a cross functional team to develop a dashboard to focus on data showing timber, fuels reduction and other activities across the Region.

United States Air Force, Hill Air Force Base, UT, GIS Specialist ( Dec 2017 – Nov 2020, 40hrs/week ) Hill AFB,UT

● GIS Data – Maintained GIS data in an SDE environment. Worked through data health reports to ensure that data was meeting standards. Worked on utility and other Base infrastructure data.

● Data Collection - Worked with the base surveyor to collect survey grade data of base assets such as utility systems and fences and gates.

● Scripting and tool development – Wrote python scripts for use in ArcGIS to optimize and streamline processes.

● Process improvement – developed flow charts for processes within the Engineering Division. Also developed the system for capturing data to track choke-points within the base’s building design and construction processes. And briefed senior leadership on the improvements/system.

● GIS/Spatial Analysis – Assisted the Base’s Fire Department in a response time network analysis of the base showing the areas where coverage had time based deficiencies. The report I generated was used to help inform Air Force leadership of ways to improve emergency response on the Base.

● Community Development – Back-filled for the Base Community Planner for 18 months. Assisted organizations with finding space for new workflow locations. ● GIS Data Management– Managed the data structure for two BLM field offices. Ensured that GIS data calls such as fire and range data were performed timely and up to standards. Also developed data dictionaries for use in contractor data collection.

● Python Scripting – Developed scripts to automate repeatable workflows such as building oil and gas well location data from Wyoming state data.

● Analysis – Provided GIS and remote sensing data analysis for minerals and renewable resource staff. Including image classification and elevation data based data products and maps.

● e911 GIS Data – I led the initial implementation of the County’s e911 and rural addressing data development. Including both address points and e911 compatible roads data.

● Planning Data - Developed a parcel based zoning dataset for the county by applying the property GIS data to the records of zoning and permitting action that had occurred in the county.

● Planning – Managed planning cases and presented staff reports to both Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of County Commissioners providing recommendations based on County approval criteria and the County Comprehensive Plan. Worked with local state and federal partners in planning activities and represented the county as a Cooperating agency on BLM planning and NEPA actions. Helped draft county responses and opinions on these activities.

● Data Systems – Built a MS Access based system for entering permitting data to keep electronic records of planning and permitting activity.
