EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: Recreation, Sports & Fitness Specialist: As a shift leader I perform Fitness, Sports & Recreation operations, including routine repair of recreation equipment, administration, marketing and publicity, acquisitions and procurement, facility and equipment management and customer service. Supervising daily operation of the Fitness Center and employees, reporting directly to the Fitness Center Director. Performs routine repair of recreation equipment. Locates trouble, annotates the problems requiring repair, tests, cleans and adjusts equipment. Follows established procedures to perform routine repair or replacement of treadmill decks and belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, bushings, pulleys, springs and cables on various machines as required or directed. Performs full preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and as directed by the Fitness Center supervisor. Documents regarding equipment maintenance, parts, patron usage history and equipment warranties must be annotated and in compliance with industry Standards and fitness requirements. Ensures that machine downtime is minimized. Responsible for keeping cardio, free weights and selected area in a clean, orderly, properly aligned and safe condition as required by housekeeping and safety. Assists the Fitness Center staff with small facility maintenance tasks, such as hanging pictures and replacing showerheads. Performs daily inspection of fitness center equipment. Takes appropriate corrective action or documents findings for future reference and repairs. Establishes periodic maintenance schedule. Cleans and lubricates equipment according to established schedule and manufacturer’s recommendations. Performs routine repairs during non-peak hours. May sand, repaint, or touch up equipment to maintain it in like new condition. Orders and inventories replacement parts and maintains bench stock. Maintains files and records as required or directed.

Shift Leader at Offutt AFB Field House, DOD largest 225 sq. ft. Fitness Center. Main facility consists of two tennis, four racquetball, two basketball, two volleyball courts. Indoor aquatics center, soccer pitch, three cardio areas, selectorized, free weights, CrossFit, spinning, aerobics, boxing, MMA areas, with $1.5mil in equipment. Performs routine repair of recreation equipment. Locates trouble, annotates the problems requiring repair, tests, cleans and adjusts equipment. Performs auditing of daily receipts, creating all daily correspondence and schedules for next business day, creating shift reports & customer correspondences. Conducts guest check-in and check-out and other guest activities.
